Monetization 2023

Do you Match These Six Criteria for Monetizing Your YouTube Channel?

Here is what to know for Monetization 2023

We are aware of your busy schedules as creators and your desire to monetize your YouTube channel. Let’s get right to it. The following six requirements must be met in order to join the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) and monetize your channel:

#1 A Minimum of 1,000 YouTube Subscribers

Channels must have at least 1,000 subscribers in order to begin making money straight from YouTube.

#2 At Least 4,000 hours of YouTube Watch Time

Together with those subscribers, you also need 4,000 hours of YouTube viewing time to start making money from ads. This time must have been created within the previous year.

#3 Live Where the YouTube Partner Program is Available to Creators

YPP has been implemented in a significant number of countries, but not all. Check if you live in one of the eligible countries for YouTube monetization.

#4 Have No Active Community Guidelines Strikes on Your Channel

YouTube isn’t here to play when it comes to Community Guidelines. Rules are applied to each channel from largest to smallest. As long as you follow the rules, you’ll be fine.

#5 Have a Linked AdSense Account

You can only get paid by YouTube if you’ve linked your AdSense account to your YouTube channel.

#6  Have Two-Factor Authentication Enabled

This adds another layer of security and makes it very difficult for someone to take over your account. This is arguably one of the most important things you can do to protect your channel from being hacked.
